Troop 69 is located in Alpharetta, GA (about 15 miles north of Atlanta) and is sponsored by Alpharetta First United Methodist Church.
Our troop consists of just under 90 boys, and is very active in camping, community service and advancement. This website exists to help communicate events and news to the scouts, their parents, and anyone else interested in the activities of our troop.
The members of Troop 69 makeup a varied cross-section of the Alpharetta community. Some are members ot the church, but many others are not. We have boys from all of the middle and high schools in the Alpharetta - Roswell - Duluth area including but not limited to: Webb Bridge and Northwestern middle schools, Milton High School, Chattahoochee High School, North Park High School, etc.
The Troop Committee Chairman is Steve Tipton and the Scoutmaster is Lionel Bourn.
The troop meets every Monday night from 7:15 to 9:00 p.m at the Alpharetta First United Methodist Church, www.afumc.org which is located at 69 North Main Street, Alpharetta, GA 30004. We meet in the Youth Center inthe building just south of the old sanctuary building. Our philosophy on adult leaders: "many hands lighten the load". So if you are and adult (male or female) and you are committed to providing the very best Scouting experience for your son, then come join us at Troop 69!
