Troop 69 is a very active boy run scout troop comprised of an enthusiastic group of scouts and adults.

We are very proud of our advancement program, where dedicated adults work with scouts at all levels of advancement to help keep them on track to meet their goals.

Our troop offers:

A Boy led troop where members learn to lead in a safe environment

A strong advancement program

At least one outdoor activity each month

Summer camp

A high adventure summer activity for older scouts

Pope Pius XII Catholic Religious Awards

Attention Catholic Scouts and Parents of Catholic Scouts.  The Pope Pius XII Award is Catholic Scouting's church-related ministries and vocation program. The program deals with different life choices (single, married, religious, ordained), occupations and ministries in the church as calls from God. It includes youth led discussions on current issues facing the church and society, which are normally included as part of a Pius XII retreat or day of recollection.  For more information on the award please visit

New Merit Badge: Animation! - Merit Badge Counselors needed

Requirements were released this week, officially making the Animation MB the BSA’s 136th current merit badge. (That count doesn’t include the Computers merit badge, which was retired at the end of 2014. See the full list here.)

Congratulations to Patrick Nugent for being appointed as the new senior patrol leader for daycamp.  Serving as ASPLs will be Aiden Chaplin and Seth Leigh. Thank you Troop 69 Boy Scouts for serving the hundreds of cub scouts in the largest day camp for the Atlanta Area Council!!

Cameron Webb's Eagle Project

Cameron Webb, a Sophomore at Alpharetta High School, has created a unique Eagle Project with Boy Scout Troop 69 to give kids an entertaining & comforting distraction as they deal with their medical issues. Called “Puzzles for Patients”, we are collecting NEW puzzles to be given free of charge to children (ages 2-18) who have overnight stays at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Please help comfort a child by contributing puzzles to our cause.    Thank you for caring by showing the healing power of puzzles!  Donation drop boxes are available at the following locations:

Boy Scouts of America officially releases Signs, Signals and Codes merit badge, the BSA’s 135th current merit badge. (You can see the complete list here.) Look for the merit badge pamphlet now at your local Scout Shop and at ScoutStuff.org.
