Welcome !

Welcome to Troop 69!

 Welcome to Troop 69!

Troop 69 is a very active and outdoor-based troop comprised of enthusiastic scouts and adults.

We are boy-lead and parent supported. We are a group of families who believe in giving our time and talents to help develop our boys through the scouting program.

We are very proud of our advancement program, where dedicated adults work with scouts at all levels of advancement to help keep them on track to meet their goals.

Our troop offers:

  • A Boy led troop where members learn to lead in a safe environment
  • A strong advancement process including a first-year program designed to help them cement their scouting journey.
  • At least one outdoor activity each month
  • Annual beach trip and ski Trip
  • Summer camp: Woodruff, Powhatan or Summitt Bechtel
  • A high adventure summer activity for older scouts every year: New Mexico, West Virginia, Florida Keys or Minnesota.

BOOK NOW: Philmont or Sea Base trip makes a great surprise Christmas gift! (Recently aged-out scouts ARE eligible!!)

Posted on Sep 22 2020 - 12:09am

Open to Adults and Youth up to age 21! We still have a few spots left for the Philmont and Sea Base trips in 2021.

If an adult or youth from Troop 69 does not take these remaining spots, then next week we will open it up to other scouts in the district by posting it on the district's facebook page. Since many of the 2020 high adventure trips were canceled this year, we expect these spots to be even more valuable than in years past.

Are you ready for some fun water activities? We are heading to Lake Allatoona in September for a weekend of canoeing, kayaking and fishing. We have two very large campsites and there will be plenty of room for everyone to spread out for camping. We will also have time to let the scouts work on rank advancement, merit badges and a service project.
